Citi Investor Services has deployed event processing technology (MS), which promises to process transactions in real time and improvement of efficiency in North America. This platform, which has already been revealed in certain European markets, allows real-time treatment of all world asset service transactions, the majority of Citi’s childcare flows which should use MS by 2026.

SEI unifies the global and direct infrastructure of Citi, transparerating its vast network in a transparent manner on more than 100 markets, including direct owner custody on more than 63 markets, on a single platform for customers.
“Whether it is a national or global layer, the MS requires only one processing event,” explains Amit Agarwal, head of the guard, Citi Investor Services, highlighting the main advantage of MS. “In the process, you can eliminate all the frictions that register today in the daycare.”
SEP considerably accelerates key processes: the creation of events now takes less than 45 minutes, from 13 to 36 hours, and the treatment of payments ends in less than five minutes, compared to the previous seven hours.
“These progress represent more than substantial improvements; They bring an exponential improvement to the experience of our customers, ”adds Agarwal.
By moving beyond the traditionally manual, fragmented and slow processes of asset maintenance, SEP allows customers of ideas in real time for timely decision-making, more intelligent and better informed. These improved efficiency and reduced delays lead to faster access to funds and improved precision, as they eliminate duplication, transfers and reconciliation. In addition, MS facilitates the tightening of instruction times, including cuts the same day.
After its initial introduction to certain European markets and in collaboration with the central international securities deposits, Citi is now on a global scale level. The technology is currently taking place in North America and is expected to expansize the rest of the Citi guard network by 2026.
