Meanwhile, New Asia Construction & Development Corp (TW: ) added 9.91% or 1.60 points to end at 17.75 and Chateau International Development Co Ltd (TW:) was up 9.89% or 3.05 points in late trade to trade at 33.90.
The worst performers of the session were Taiwan Taffeta Fabric Co Ltd (TW: ), which fell 7.67% or 1.25 points to trade at 15.05 at the close. Shunsin Technology Holdings Ltd (TW: ) declined 6.89% or 17.50 points to end at 236.50 and Chung Fu Tex-International Corp (TW:) declined 5.56% or 2.00 points to 34.00.
Shares fell 0 to 0 outpacing advanced stocks on Taiwan’s stock market.
Shares of New Asia Construction & Development Corp ( TW: ) rose to all-time highs; Up 9.91% or 1.60 to 17.75.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.08%, or 0.06%, at $77.33 a barrel. In other commodities trading, Brent crude for March delivery fell 0.22% or 0.18 to settle at $80.61 a barrel, while the February gold futures contract was up 0.02% or 0.46 and It traded at $2,749.16 per troy ounce.
USD/TWD fell 0.44% to 32.78, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.27% to 0.22.
US dollar index futures fell 0.21% to 108.97.
